California Here I Come...

Change of scenerey .....headed south back to my homelands this past year. I miss my mountains, I miss the snow, I miss the tops of trees as far as the eye sees, but here is where family is and so my mountains will always stay in my dreams. Guess I'll have to rename this blog from mountain meridian to california vine lands.

Momma Moments...22 to 40 and starting again.

I had my first girl when I was 22 and a boy 2 years later. Later on and a 2nd marriage, I had another girl at 40 years old in 2007. I love the online support system for older mothers. If your an older new Mommy, (AMA), and have any experiences, questions, or just wanna chit chat with someone else, post away. On the other hand, my other two are nearly grown. So if you'd like to share tearing hair out moments over those dreaded teen times, post a note.

As for being a new mommy again, they say it's like riding a bike......yeah right...sheesh...tell my old body that. hehe. My husband and I love it though. It's a much more life awing experience when your mature and appreciate every moment. Now... my 19 yr old just got married, (and yes.....we tried to advise her to wait. LoL) so any thoughts or if you can relate, would love to hear from you. it was a bit stressful getting use to the idea, but the wedding was beautiful and they will deal with lifes lessons in their own good time. hehe.

"Home"...hmm what a nice word. hehe.

I live in the beautiful mountains of North Eastern Washington State. Having traveled a little, I found myself in this quaint little town that immediately felt like "home". I had been searching for that feeling my whole life it seems. Ever been looking for something without even knowing you were? My eldest daughter says that, like the song in Paint Your Wagon, "I was born under a wandering star". I suppose I use to be, since we constantly moved. We have now been here for 7 years and are rooted to the area. I even met a man 4 years ago, married 2 years ago, and at a ripe old age of 40, we had a baby of our own. Amazing how life can make sense when you realize that it's not only the place, but having the feeling of being, "Home".
